10. SPROUTS

What it has:    Sprouts are live food packet with the highest amount of nutritives in any one known food item. Vitamin B increases by 1,000 per cent and Vitamin C by 600 per cent in sprouted wheat.

Why you should eat more:     The Chinese ate sprouts to lose weight, cure rheumatism, lower fever and tone the body through the regular consumption. This live food rejuvenates body cells and tissues and provides energy. It also retards the aging process. Alfalfa and moong-bean sprouts are,on the other hand, excellent soft food: they contain every known vitamin necessary for the human boby in perfect balance.

How to up your intake:   It's easy. Just toss them in salads, soups, sandwiches. They provide just the right crunch and bite. Even eat them on their own. Squeeze a little lemon, toss in a pinch flavoured salt, a dash of freshly ground pepper, throw in some chopped fresh herbs and it's the most refreshing power food ever.
